Chris Wivholm Foundation raises funds to support addiction disease research

Eden Prairie, MN | May 18, 2019

Chris Wivholm Foundation hosted its first dinner and fundraiser event in support of addiction disease research. This new collaborative research program, led by University of Minnesota Neuroscience Discovery Team on Addiction, examines how addictive drugs alter the brain and how these changes can lead to compulsive drug use. Mark Thomas, PhD, Director of the program spoke about discoveries of new treatment options for Opioid-Use Disorder focused on ways to disrupt addiction relapse.

As a result of our dinner, silent auction and fundraising events in May we were able to donate $7,000 to University of Minnesota Neuroscience Debarment – Medical Discovery Team.

Thank you so much to our supporters! We are saving lives by contributing to research.Thank you to our guests for your support! Special thank you to US Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, US Congressman Dean Phillips, Eden Prairie Mayor Ron Case and Professor Mark Thomas.
